You can do this program repeatedly with younger preschoolers. Good books should be read repeatedly with young children. The same for the Prek program.

If I would like to start at a traditional (in our area) school calendar in Aug/Sept, would this be okay for a 3.5 year old?

Hi. I used it with my 3-4 year olds, so it would be a great fit, in my opinion. Hope that helps. Thanks!

Kate snow also has Preschool Math at Home which would fit perfect with this program.

@@StephanieMT trimester means a span of time broken into 3 parts. Semester is a span of time broken into 2 parts. The word trimester isn't unique to pregnancy.

Are there any Bible stories or alphabet recognition in this program? My son is 4.5 and not ready for the Pre-K package.

Hi! In Sonlight P 3/4 there is a Bible Story Book. The bible story book is not scheduled out. They just recommend reading from the bible story book daily. I already had a few bible story books in my home, so I simply read one bible story every morning from our bible book. We used the Jesus Storybook Bible or the Beginners Picture Bible. If you already have a picture bible, you can read right from it. If not, you can pick up the Family-Time Bible in Picture book from Sonlight: www.sonlight.com/TB01. For alphabet recognition, the p3/4 level takes a very relaxed approach. It recommends throughout some of the read-alouds to sing the ABCs, practicing the alphabet with Boom Chica Boom Boom story, etc. It does not have a full early language arts program incorporated within p3/4. For my children, I did add on the Letter of the Week Do A Dots worksheets from Confessions of a Homeschooler. shared.confessionsofahomeschooler.com/lotw/A_ZDoADots.pdf I also used a basic preschool workbook that included tracing the alphabet. We worked on one letter/letter sound each week. I hope this helps!
