Two buggers tout tried to fox us just two weeks back, rate of horse was 1200 which ultimately came down to 800 for five points, some of us wanted to go to Baltal but they couldn't provide cars even after one hour. Dejected we started walking towards Thajiwas but huge snow was there and we couldn't go on foot, scam is everywhere in Kashmir, right from Sonmarg Gulmarg Pahelgaon etc

The pony ride to the Glacier should be Rs 1000-1200. Never pay beyond Rs. 1500. Do not let your taxi driver do the bargaining. The driver will get a fat commission for getting a high price. You do the bargaining. make it clear that you will not pay a penny more than agreed. As soon as you start the ride, "Helpers" will flock and try to convince you that the path is dangerous and you require their services. In a harsh manner tell them to leave and make it clear you will not pay them

Thanks for the vlog. Unfortunately, I read it after coming back from there. We also paid 5K for these not so great chained vehicle misguided trip. Its a scam to loot tourist. Gumarg, Pahalgam are way better. Sledge people came down to 300 Per head in our case. But we still didn't go as we already done that in Gulmarg

We paid 1400 Rs for 2 ponies for up and down. Initial Quote was 5000 for 2. Kashmir is beutiful but full of scams by CabDrivers,ponnies and slaze persons. Also a very big scam is Bisaran valley,Pahalgam.

Yes, usse age koi tourist taxi ko allow nahi karte hein. But mene bohat private cars ko entry karte huye dekha he, tourist cars not allowed. Waha pohach k jo hamne jeep kiya tha, they asked for 11k but we bargained, or tab wo 5k par maane. But 5k deke v jo 5 points wo dikhayenge apko, wo worth nahi he. Ek do points wo apko gari me baithe baithe hi dikha denge. So isse accha hoga, jaha apki gari aage allow na kare, waha se aap pony ride kar lo, wo v acche tarike se bargain karke ya fir bas us point tak hi aao kyuki, jo rasta he Srinagar se Sonmarg ka, wo bohat hi khubsurat he, or raste me v apko bohat hi zada picturesque jagah dekhne milegi.. jo mene video me 1 jagah dikhayi he wapis aate huye. So you can do that. Sonmarg is a beautiful place, to aap Sonmarg tak jao, uske aage pony ride ya jeep ride bargain karke hi karna, mujhe jeep ride worth nahi laga tha. Thank you.😊

Govt. should control on rates of all kinds things car, pony, hotel etc.Inse ekdam hard talk karna chahiye ye driver, ponywale tourists ko lootne me help karte hai. duniya bhar ki sahulste dee hai kashmiriyoko aur kya chahiye.
