Cole, your videos show the world that farming isn’t just about sitting on a tractor and planting seed and reaping harvest. Or feeding some head of cattle and selling them off at the barn. The number of diverse skills a farmer needs to keep his farm running, is amazing. Never boring. Always part of the story. You and Brain are great and thank you for sharing.

Watching Sonny eating corn brought back memories. My mom had a black and tan bloodhound we used for coyote and racoon hunting. She loved fresh veggies and would tear ears of corn off the stalks in moms garden. She'd sit in the sun, tear the husk off and slowly remove every kernal from the cob. She also loved potatoes and carrots and would dig them up. Mom got a kick out of it, and the dog would follow her around as she worked in the garden hoping to be tossed something as mom thinned the veggies. She'd even eat turnips. Which was great because I'd give her mine. Hated the dang things.

I learn as much from the prep work, as I do from the farming. It’s fascinating to me, and incredulous, just how much there is to do, to get ready to farm . I’m sure that both of you are unaware, just how much knowledge you possess., outside of farming . Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding, carpentry, pharmacological ,medical, hardware savvy, all, in order to drive a tractor, planter, harvester, bush hog, semi truck driver skills. You would be able to get a job in ANY of those professions.

Cole, your videos are never tiring and boring. They are the best. You cover all the aspects of farming and ranching. Not just the fun and highlights. Prep and maintenance are a huge part of an operation like yours. Especially when you have as much invested in high-end equipment as you and Brian do on an operation the size of yours. You are protecting your investments. And it's one of the reasons you have so few breakdowns. (having all that shiny newer Deere equipment may have a lot to do with that too. Lol😊) You are showing and educating non-farming people in EVERYTHING that is involved in a farm and ranch operation. And you guys do it right. Farming is no longer just a way of life. It is a business, and you have to run it like a business. And you and Brian are top notch man. I've said this before, I admire the way you and Brian work together. You're never rushing things. Just working at a modest pace, and you get so much done. You plan your work, and you work your plan. Watching you two really, really makes me miss my dad and working beside him. 😢 Cherish the fact that you get to do that Cole.... And then, there is tiny dog. He is quickly becoming the star of show! You just gotta love him! Gives Elie a chance to slow down a little... You all stay safe out there!

Got a use for the old wire wheels vs the scrap yard; next time you pour 12-14” of a concrete pad with rebar, space out the old wire wheels, cover with cement and you will have a very strong pad. Use rebar too as needed.

For me, all the crap and preparation you have to do IS what farmin is all about!! THAT is what makes farmers the outstanding people they are. All the EXTRA effort and work they put in EVERY dang day. Sittin in the tractor bouncing cross the field is the glorious part. The WORK it takes to get there is even more important!! Almost no body sees that part. Those going by on the road never see the banging, cussing and welding and cutting that is going on in the barn, the shed, and in the cold and snow. That is also a major part of farmin. And, to me, THE biggest part, is FABRICATING!! Making something from nothing, or from "stuff" around the yard. So much of what keeps the farm running is dreamed up and fabricated in ;the farmer's mind and hands. I feel it is a farmer's greatest skill. YOU two show the best of that. I have watched you weld masterpieces of fence and gates from plain pipe, Fixed and fabricated stuff there that did not exist before you needed it. THAT is the essence of a REAL farmer. And I love watching that in action. It is NOT trivial. Thanks for showing us Cole.

Thanks for another awesome video Cole and Brian. It was interesting and enjoyable to watch. Your videos are never boring to watch Cole. Always and I mean always, your videos are GREAT to watch!!!!!!! Preventive maintenance is just a fact of life on the farm. Just the way it is. You and your dad are really good at it. Keep up the good work!!!!!!!! I like the flexi glass guard window you built to protect the real glass one. Super good idea!!!!! That should do the trick. Sonny is very good at supervising the work you all are doing. Rides good in the pickup. Good idea to cover the seat. Good dog. Your old hay rack looks like new with the new hay wheels on it. Fixed that real good I must say. Give it a go now. Lots of busy work around the farm right now. Busy getting ready for harvest. Yeah. Got the grain cart ready to go. Surprised the wheels didn’t need more attention than what you did to them. Parker makes good equipment. Yes take the cap off the grease container before pouring-ha!!!!!’ Good catch Cole. Ready to go for harvest time. Yeah!!!!!! About it I guess for now. Thanks for everything. You both take good care. Be safe. The Iowa farm boy. Steve. 😊👍👋🚜✅💕🇺🇸🇺🇸
