Upcycling Thrift Store Finds using the NEW IOD Paint Inlay

In today's video, I grabbed several thrift store finds and upcycled them using the NEW! IOD Paint Inlay Delft Traditions Noir. This Paint Inlay is packed full of beautiful images throughout the 8 pages. You may not know this but Paint Inlays can be used up to 3 times per inlay. Each time you use it the image becomes a bit more aged and distressed looking which I love!! Have you used a Paint Inlay yet?

My mom had that set of vintage luggage. Love the color, excited to see what you do. ❤ Primitive seems to be coming back in popularity. It was big in the 80's. Look at old Country Living magazines. I loved alot of it and collected certain things. But it was such dark vibes from all the magazines. Probably why the all white shabby chic and farmhouse style became so hot!!! You will be glad you bought the locks/keys. I would add to a jar and sell❤. That is a big idea now. Same for your metal bobbins, wooden thread spools or any other "collection". I'm hoping to add to my booth this fall starting with wooden clothespins :)

Hi Sonnet! I must say, I miss your BPI-videos (Before Paint Inlays). For many of us, I hope I may speak for other viewers, Paint Inlays is just way out of reach, budget wise. Specially some like I, who do not stay in USA. I saved money and got hold of some IOD products, but the paint inlays I will not buy. That was well put of Debi - panty lines. I was always glad that I luckily don't like paint inlays, because of that line, but you saved it for the other viewers that do like the inlays. The green tin(?), is my favourite project of today's video.

There are those that want to try Paint Inlays and are completely freaked out to try them because they have no idea where to start. I’ve never used the paint inlay yet. When you started pulling it up, could you have laid it back down and misted it and let it dry again to try to get those spots better? Or applied a little paint to that area and laid it back down instead of continuing to take it off? It looked good in the end - you made it work!

Yes you can reapply if you want more paint on the surface. I personally like the distressed look it gives when it's missing spots from the inlay. 😊
