Badu started raising funds starting from $1000 from members of the church, followed by $500 and so on. Then came the ordinary people who came and put all that they had into the offering bowl, could you believe that Badu took all the money and donated money and took all to himself WITHOUT giving any money to the pastors. It was there I did not like Badu anymore

Magraheb if wrong is wrong then point out the fact that Dr. Oteng was equally wrong. He could have picked up his calls and simply said he wouldn't be sponsoring again. Leaving people hanging is wrong. People have to learn to say no, say i can no longer help and other not so positive responses without ignoring calls and mails. Sonnie's approach may have been wrong but Dr. Oteng equally was wrong. Asking people to sweep these things under the carpet is one reason folks keep doing people wrong. Abeiku Santana is always fanning such negative flames and i think people should learn how to steer away from his line of questions during such interviews or call him out.

It’s different to say I can’t help than to say that I will support and then ignore your calls. He could have answered any of the calls and tell him that I indeed promised to sponsor but things didn’t go as I expected so I may not be able to help this time around. But to actually ignore the calls is not honorable. Secondly, he didn’t say he called him to let his COMPANY to sponsor him. So it’s different. You are right to say he too was expecting what he might get from the program but if you feel you wouldn’t get anything and you can’t sponsor, just say so that you can’t support period.
