I have realised my life has changed fully. before the 2020 i was this idiotic selfish kid who just played with his friends and liked those fun times and now over the course of past few years i have become this person who doesn't care about anything anymore. I have got good friends and family but spending time with them doesnt seem fun tbh nothing seems fun anymore it feels there is no point for me to continue i have become satisfied and now since the child in me has died i dont have any intention to continue. I watched this anime exactly after new years last year and felt good because of is theme but now i can understand its ending better. sry I didnt wanted to rant here but all these thoughts just came into my mind while listening to this and reading the comments

I think if there is something we can learn from Sonny Boy, it's that sometimes living involves a leap of faith. The things we go through may not feel like they have a point in the moment and they may not bring us happiness, but we must move forward actively in spite of those feelings. We must be, as Nozomi said, dandelions rather than sunflowers, always pushing toward a brighter place, even if we don't know if it's possible. It means, as Nagara learned, getting up to bat even when doing so seemed pointless and loss seemed guaranteed because if we don't keep moving toward that distant light, then we will be undergo the same sort of death that Hoshi (the inventor of death) eventually did. In other words, I hope Sonny Boy can inspire you, like it did for me in some ways, to keep moving forward even when it may seem futile or impossible, and to never give up hope that one day you'll find yourself in a brighter place.

Mate, i recommend you to lock the negativity away. Don't consume news and all that media, cuz its only gonna darken your world. But; about you expressing the wish to be in worlds as during this anime... i think you missed the whole point of sonny boy. Life in the worlds is meaningless. The anime is, at least in my opinion, similarly to xenoblade chronicles 3, telling you to find some determination, change yourself and move on. Even tho its hard. And painful. And sad.

I love this anime. Its a 10/10 for me, but I don't think I want a second season or OVA. It told the story it wanted to tell, though I guess an OVA of some of the experiences the other characters have in the this worlds would be interesting.
