She didn’t want it to be known that she had Balkens grandchild, however on the flip side before she ever knew that Dante was Sonny’s son, Dante claimed himself as the father of her unborn child when she was still pregnant so he could sign all of the rights of the child over to her. She couldn’t tell anyone in port Charles about the baby because she didn’t want to have to claim Dante as the father, as it would throw a wrench in all of her relationships as wells as Dante’s relationships especially his relationship with his father. But she also couldn’t tell the truth about her child being Alexander’s because it would put her in more danger if the Balken found out.
