This was one of the most honest and real moments in daytime history! GH doesn't write like this anymore. Claire Labine was a master during the 90s on GH. Sonny and Brenda were like no other. Kudos to Maurice and Vanessa!

The years with Sonny and Brenda were the absolute best on GH. I remember the first time they met and till this day, I won't ever forget it. No couple on GH will ever match Sonny and Brenda and NO WOMAN that Sonny has been with or Sonny will be with, will ever match up with Brenda. This scene is about a woman telling her man I’m moving forward and you can come or not but it’s time for me to move ahead. He decided he would rather give up his bachelor pad than lose his woman. Damsel in distress, stalker Brenda was a mans creaton cuz Labine had moved on. Jax, Prince Charming, captain save a ...was also not a Labine creation. I prefer an empowered Brenda. The decline of her character came when Labine left the stage. Sad.

I wholeheartedly agree. Watching these earlier clips and even the scene's in 2010, 2011, Brenda is Sonny's first love, soulmate, kindred spirit. He didn't mention anything about Kate, back then. (He really he didn't bring her up til late 2000's.) No matter how GH tries to spin it now. Trying to rewrite history, it just doesn't ring true. I think Maurice would agree.

I think this is the reason the writers never gave proper closure to the S&B love story because S&B fans, especially me, still and will always believe they will reunite.

Yeah, well, you know why, correct (as far as her looking better)? She had hyperthyroidism and when she came back, she was just at the point of figuring out how to gain her weight back and maintaining it. She is much healthier now. She said she lost at least 15 lbs from her normal body weight and couldn't figure out what was wrong with her. She said she all this weird stuff started happening to her. She said she was getting all these alergies and she was getting scared. (continued)

That's because: 1) The writing and storylines actually made sense back then..lol! 2) Sonny was sharp & not a shell of himself like he is on the show now. B4 Jason left, HE did all the work but now they made Sonny a man whore. 3) Brenda/Vanessa was more gorgeous back then (I mean she's still beautiful, but she had some issues concerning her hyperthyroid illness that she looks and acts a little different because of it). 4) & plus, it wasn't the usual Jason, Carly and Sonny show.

Jax knew about what happened between her and Sonny, but did not let her know he knew, if memory serves me correctly, she finally admitted to Jax that she still loved Sonny and Jax admitted that he knew she did and let her walk out of the apartment and she went straight to Sonny on the docks.
