The WiFi controller has a microphone built-in which causes the the light strip to react. As long as your PC has speakers it should work fine.

Geek Street managed to figure it out. I purchased the 5m long LED strip. When connecting the light into the WiFi unit it loses connection. So I reduced the size to 3m and resolved the issue. I think the 5m required too much current to maintain a stable WiFi signal and power the lights. Oh and both 3m and 2m pieces worked meaning the LED strip wasn’t the issue.
