Awesome built, congratulations! It looks absolutely factory made, that's fantastic! The design fits the Vespa's outlook greatly! I wish you splendid journeys and peace and nice friendly people to meet!

Michael, when someone says "It looks factory made" I know I've done my job well. Thank you. I've built several smaller scooter cargo trailers and have always strived hard for that OEM look. So thank you for recognizing that. This entire project is about human connection...so yes, hoping for splendid journeys and genuine connection! Thanks for the view!

is the power of Vespa enough to move the teardrop? how is to climb the hills? you and your Vespa are changing my mind.......
@thetinysideoftiny76252 жыл бұрын
Kia Ora Walter! The Vespa pulls the trailer fairly well. The 2-stroke motor has a ton of torque for it's size. There's no hills near my house so I don't know. At a guess, I don't think it would go very fast up a steep hill. The trailer weighs just 170 pounds (77kg) but if you were careful, you could build a trailer that weighs much less.
@Acamperfull2 жыл бұрын
Fantastic trailer, fits the Vespa design like a glove. Did you use Vespa rims so that you can have one spare wheel for both trailer and Vespa? It would be nice to see more specs like size & weight of the trailer etc.
@thetinysideoftiny76252 жыл бұрын
Greetings Acamperful, I used smaller wheels than what’s on the Vespa. Finding the wheels and tires was difficult. I am planning a future video that will talk about the build. it will cover weight, measurements, design details, etc. Thank you for watching, I really appreciate the view :)

Cool trailer man...thanks for sharing. Did you cover in one of your videos how you set up the trailering mechanism behind your Vespa to safely couple to the tear drop?
@thetinysideoftiny76252 жыл бұрын
Thanks Brent! I didn't officially cover the trailering mechanism but you can see it at the beginning in my first video. It's pretty simple...on the Vespa it's just a thick piece of steel bent 90 degrees with a hitch pin attached. On the trailer, it's a heim joint that I bought at Tractor Supply. I plan on doing an in depth video on the actual design of the trailer in the near future. I just finished filming a camping episode at a local suburban farm and I'm in the process of editing it. Afterwards, I may try to tackle the design video. Thanks for the view. It's appreciated.

Awesome first camp. Will you please show if the trailer needs to be unhitched from the bike when camping. Are there outside supports? Also did you wire the inside, or just the plug that came on the wall plug? Beautiful camper!!!
@thetinysideoftiny76252 жыл бұрын
HI Tom, thank you for the view! The bike can be hitched OR unhitched while camping. It works either way. I have a makeshift wooden block that I place under the trailer tongue for support. As soon as I can find the time I am going to fabricate proper supports out of aluminum for the front of the trailer. I bought a pig tail electrical product on amazon to wire the trailer for electricity. The one end is a male that goes on the outside of the trailer. The inside has two female 110v dongles to plug in any standard device. I also carry a NOCO brand 12V battery box when I dry camp. It powers 12V lights that I wired in the trailer and the battery box also charges my cell phones, cameras and other electronics.
