As I’m sure you’re aware, Sonos have commented on the lack of multi-room/hand off functionality and simply said it just wasn’t capable of providing adequate battery life to these headphones…yet. Will likely appear on future gens but even if it gave 10 hours battery it would have been worth it imo.

Which makes me think it was more like 3-5 hours and any additional costs needed to offset it would've been not worth it. I think making the best pair of headphones they can at this moment is more important than the ecosystem connect aspect. That will become more realistic in time and likely Sonos will be among the first if not the first to introduce it. I will likely get these for tv swap when it comes to android but having to wait makes me not wanna buy right now.

I sold my AirPod Max and bought these. Massive upgrade in terms of comfort… and I do own a Sonos Arc, so it was a no brainer.

I love the physical controls. The key question is how good these are at reproducing the higher frequencies, because those are the ones that suffer most in closed-back headphones.

Best looking anc headphones in the category imo, I get that to the touch AirPods Max feel more premium (at the expense of comfort due to the weight) but aesthetically Sonos are my favorite

From what I can tell, Sonos is doing the best job with creating an atmos sound field, I’ve only used atmos through Samsung tab s9 but it destroys the xm5’s for immersion, usb connection is shockingly bad volume level is so low to mean they’re at this point useless for lossless

I notice that yesterday on my tab s9 ultra I thought I was tripping but volume was so low when plug in usb on the ultra with theses headphones.

I like Sonos but these do not seem to have any really crazy features to justify that cost. Sony and Bose have comparable offerings that are $100 less.

After having both, they’re more comfortable, nicer materials, look better, and I think has a cleaner sound. Also if people can justify Airpod Max then these are cheaper

Those headphones are nice but the head between them, mmmmhhhmmmmm. I also get sweaty ears on closed cup headphones.

Repeating my comment from MKBHD's similiar video: Don't forget, Sonos bricked their older speakers with a software update, they might do it again. Definetly would not even consider buying anything from them.

@@Lewis-sb6lm I own them and I’ve owned the xm5’s and honestly for what I use them for, watching movies on tab, the atmos outperforms the xm5s by miles

the price is totally fine, you get more than from competitors, which btw had a similar price tag when released. For me the TV Audio swap is a great feature and the fact that USB-C can be used for an audio connection while charging the same time, is very welcome. My QC Ultra can't do that.
