Thank you so much for this, i was so confused about a pattern i got with quarter stitches

I’m working on a blackwork pattern with tons of ½ stitches (basically a ¾ cross stitch) and instead of switching needles, I’m using the sharp part of the embroidery needle for my halves and the dull back of the needle, which is basically the same as a tapestry needle, for the rest.
