Mayans M.C. follows the life of Ezekiel “EZ” Reyes, president of the Mayans M.C. charter on the Cali/Mexi border. EZ has now risen to lead his brother Angel and the Santo Padre M.C. in a bloody war against their rival Sons of Anarchy. Defending the California territory and patch begins to claim lives within the club and causes strain between EZ and Angel.

Whats funny is that it was actually through Mayans MC that I discovered Sons of Anarchy. So when all these SOA guys were appearing on the show, i had no idea who any of them were. I saw SOA after season 3 of Mayans ended.

Tig Traeger is a definate character i woukd like to see along with Alvarez. The way they ended Mayan season 4 they both have alot years warring & what they simpky say is the Lions turns we need to stay in the mix to lead. But they gotta get their paws in he pot. irony is, with the exception of emilio rivera, whos basically the reason mayans became a spin off, & ray mckinnon, all the alumni from sons bounced once disney forced FX to axe kurt sutter. DL showed up along w/ jacob vargas in s3 but it wasnt for long & im sure the $ was too good for kim coates to pass up on to cameo last season. shame this show couldve been to sons what BCS was after breaking bad ended.

There was a plan for a prequel to Sons Of Anarchy but the way I understand Kurt Sutter had a fallen out with FX and Disney I believe it was. It would have been about John Teller's (Jax's father) reign as club president. Shame it never happened.

Folks keep wondering why there's a moment where Gemma appears in the Mayans MC., because Jax killed her in the SOA series, which takes place before the Mayans series. I waited for the complete series of SOA to become available on dvd before I finally watched it. This I prefer than paying for cable TV and I can watch all I want without any interruptions. But I had gotten the first two seasons of The Mayans and watched them first. So when I finally got to the episode in the Sons where there's a scuffle in the visiting room of the jail where Gemma is waiting to speak with Clay, I immediately recognized EZ from The Mayans. And that was the scene where EZ looses his cool after a visit with Emily. At that point he was in jail for killing the dirty cop before they shaved time off his sentence in exchange for his help in taking down the Galindo cartel.
