This is a wonderful movie. I saw it as a little girl and fell in love with it. I still remember every word to the song. I have been looking for this for a very long time. I hope everybody shares it that finds it.

No. They were supporting the Cold War consensus with this song. Today, they're supporting the postmodern consensus. If there's a consensus, Disney will support it.

Yes, they have changed not for the better. Walt Disney would never have allowed them to go in the direction that they have gone. I'm glad he's not alive to see it.

@@cmroszczyk1 I don't think you got my point. This movie is what people wanted to see in 1957: a Cold War friendly picture of American origins. He would probably make any movie today that people wanted to see. I think you're confusing a successful Hollywood animation capitalist with someone with some kind of other ethics besides being popular for profit.

Correct me if I'm wrong; I was 10 years old when the movie came out. Wasn't the setting in Revolutionary War times? The movie had characters portraying Samuel Adams, for example. That had to be in the 1770s. Oh, yes, I grew up with Disney non- political. At least, it wasn't emphasized then.
