Only way to get out of that "boy energy" is to cut off all pleasures for a while and just do uncomfortable things everyday. Semen retention, cold showers, painful workouts, no junk food... just eat like a professional bodybuilder or athlete. You will slowly start to become more masculine which makes the effort and hard work feel good.

Been doing all that too and it’s awesome the higher levels of self discipline is the best feeling ever. It’s important to always forgive as well. I wish my mom a good day as soon as her image pops up. It’s very dificult at first but helps tremendously after a while you really mean it and your day gets better as well. Also act as if your your own dad and compliment self or your own military drill instructor during workouts. @@nateroxx

Hey man, I want to thank you for sharing this struggle you currently face. I do have to say to be fully transparent that unfortunately that is a situation I am unfamiliar with myself and don't want to give you bad/false advice or information to make myself look like an "expert". I have only experienced it as a son, not having a partner who is one. However, I will give a few suggestions and a mental model that could help you navigate this really difficult situation. Your situation is unique and I don't have all of the context but I'll do my best. I think understanding the root of a "devouring mother" will be helpful for you. Also her receptivity to change/your influence. At the root of this archetype is fear. An extreme fear for her children and fear of abandonment. Perhaps your wife has this paralyzing fear her children will get hurt in the world. Or its more selfish, that because she can't meet her own needs she must have them met through her kids. Either way, its important for her to separate herself from her own motherhood and for her to begin her own healing. Also to see the big picture, children will be more damaged from overbearing behavior than letting them be. When it finally finally "clicked" for my own mother, it became a lot easier. I wish I had more to give and a straightforward solution but its simply not that way. Wishing you the best on this.

It goes beyond masculinity bro. These type of mothers produce wounds that are deep and may not heal completely. Many are left with low self esteem and poor social skills throughout the duration of life. These things only improve if you do the work it takes to improve in these areas. These mothers are malignant and have little to no boundries. They go a great length to keep their children in control. And this includes into their childs adulthood unless you go no contact.

It absolutely goes beyond masculine energy, you're right. It's devastating across the board regardless of gender, race, etc. I wanted to highlight the particular effects on those of us with masculine dominant energy. I believe healing of the masculine looks different than what is typically seen online (which is more feminine focused, nothing wrong with this but lacks including us). This channel will focus more on that because the healing and spiritual space needs more of this perspective. Thanks for your comment brother, appreciate you sharing.
