Brian Auger is a most incredible keyboard player as well as a singer. The man possesses a very mellow voice that's as smooth as silk. My wife and I saw his band (with his two awesomely talented kids) back in 2004 at the Viking Inn in St. Louis Mo. This gentleman was gracious enough to allow my wife to take several pictures of us together. He's definitely at the top of my list of Favorite Artists. The number of albums he's released is quite impressive! And my world is a much better place thanks to Mr. Brian Auger! God bless you, Sir!

Thanks, sounds fantastic! All of the music from Brian’s “Closer To It” has totally knocked me out ever since it came out in 1973.
@aircavmedic2 жыл бұрын
Me as well. It was actually Lp “ Closer to it” that led me backwards to “ Second Wind” Followed him backwards, forwards, & in various artists he played with. I think he is best B-3 on planet. One sadly gone; Jimmy Mcgriff

Savannah Grace Auger - VocalsKarma Auger - Drums, recording, productionDerek Frank - Bass, and I believe Savannah's (ex?) boyfriend, now touring with Shania TwainJimmy Hendrix performed his first gig in London with Brian Auger's band...This guy (Brian) is the real deal - playing with more great musicians (aka: international stars)Brian is world renowned and world respected. At the age of 76 he can do with a few fingers what most keyboard players dream of being able to do in their lifetimes...a true legend.

I remember one night in 1974 coming home from a hard day's work on a Friday evening, mixing an 8-ounce Manhattan, and plugging my Brian Auger Trinity tape into the 8-track player. His music is the type of stuff I have always loved; after Jimmy Smith, I think he's my favorite keyboardist.

Just heard it for the 1st time on a College radio station the other day. I thought it was Steely Dan at first, but it just opened up a whole new level of funk/jazz to me. Hell, I might even travel to Europe to see it Live. Love it that much. Very uplifting!!

Always loved the Main Ingredient version and only recently found the original. Why wasn't Brian Auger more famous than he was?
@Kris.G4 жыл бұрын
Probably because was interested more in playing interesting music than doing flashy theatrics on stage. Just like Graham Bond never got the recognition he deserves.
@Baribrotzer4 жыл бұрын
@@Kris.G Brian doesn't seem to have ever wanted all that hard to be a rock star. He stayed loyal to blues and jazz, and built a decent career playing those, and mostly those. As for Graham Bond, his real trouble was his own demons: drug addiction, weird religion, and falling for crazy women. All of which did a number on him, and finally killed him.
