2:21 that new chassis or should I say big overgrown roll cage. It’s amazing just seeing the engineering in that is amazing. Just scares me seeing that and think about the 16 year old kid in Dads pickup that had been past down through 2-3 generations trying to jump the creek and folding it in half. I wasn’t going that fast eitherlol😂😂

Just proves money doesn't need to change you as a person. You heard him when he was still active on the Monster Jam circuit; he was always thanking the fans for every nut and bolt. This sport is not a place where you can pretend to rise above it all; you have to get your hands dirty and do much or some of the stuff yourself, even when you have a crew chief and a dedicated team of mechanics. Listening to how Dennis did everything on a *very* limited budget in the early years tells us how much of a struggle it was. I'm not at all surprised he and his family have stayed grounded. Dennis and his Grave Digger trucks have been my favourite since I started watching monster truck racing back in the late '80s. Here in Norway this was broadcast on a a European satellite channel named Screensport and I used to watch the old TNT shows with both monster truck racing and mud racing religiously. Monster truck racing is of course a completely different beast today and I do miss the old metal body trucks with shiny chrome parts and traditional vintage designs somewhat, but I do understand why they changed to tubular frames and fiberglass bodies considering what these trucks are made to do today. When I think about the legacy of Grave Digger and how it is still a mainstay in the sport and hopefully will be also in many years to come, it's been one heck of a journey. And that's coming from someone who's just been watching it on the telly 😄. I'm glad Dennis prevailed through all those financial challenges as an independent and was able to pass on a strong brand name to those drivers carrying the torch within Monster Jam today.
