It's a shame this is not in 4K and beyond. These photos are AMAZING!

Loving the new 14GM! It does pair perfectly with the 24GM, even the 20G.

@stan moniz I feel pretty fortunate having this set-up - each one pointing in a different direction most nights out.

I just retired so I thought I would give photography a try. I just bought the Sony A7RV, Sony FE 14mm F/1.8 GM, Sony 35mm GM f/1.4, Sony 85mm GM 2 f/1.4 and the Sony FE 200-600mm G f/5.6-6.3. Whenever I start a new hobby I hate upgrading later

I also love it. Immediately I sold my 15mm f2 Laowa. The beste UW ever. Paired it with my A7R4 and my new A1. Incredible. Thank you Sony. You are far of the competition. I would suggest to make a 18mm f1.4GM too. And I miss a 200mm f1.8GM as a true Bokeh monster. The 85GM should get the new focus motors. I also love my 135mmGM and the 35mmGM, its incedible sharp.

I'm waiting for mine to arrive. Really looking forward to getting out into dark skies with it as well as my 24mm GM.

Getting the lens next week, so hyped for it. But one question: which slider is it Stan has in the video?

I agree with the MW captures, Using on the A7iii (after the March firmware update) never have seen pinpoint stars in corners like this except the 1224 f/2.8 and f/4 and 1635 f/4. BUT at f/1.8 at 14mm a miracle lens. And doing portrait view panos you will get sky above and behind you. A single layer will capture the June MW at 2am that goes over your head vertical to capture not an arch but a high roller coaster like arch. Clarity of a lit city 20 miles away on the horizon and transmission towers separate and in focus lights pinpoint and a ship at anchor at sea on the horizon clear and in focus and then a lifeguard stand a couple of yards away also in focus and sharp as well as the sand and shells nearest. The milky cloud path from horizon to horizon sharp and clear with smallest stars within now seen before processing. PTGui recognizing the 14mm and stitches without needing extra points even over water using stars to stitch and blending ocean surf from image to image. The lower ISO controls highlights of a city and sky glow but also the shadows of the sand are able to be brought out. You get an image exposed to the right that exposure has to be reduced in post to look like a nights capture. Sony Miracles will never end!!!

Top Review!!! Ich habe mein 14mm diese Woche bekommen, warte noch auf die Sterne (in Norddeutschland haben wir zur Zeit wenig Nacht). Ist ein Top Objektiv! I got my 14mm this week, I'm still waiting for the stars (we don't have much night in northern Germany at the moment). Is a top lens!

I would also like to know? I used the 24mm and knowing the sweet spot from your review was key:) Thank you for the awesome review!

Love this lens, excellent review and pictures! Would really love to know (as exact as possible) where the Milky way image at 0:54 is taken. Somewhere in Monument valley? Appreciate it, thanks a lot!

The Camera Conspiracies channel found a bunch of oddities in regards to how the auto-focus does really strange stuff in their testing...
