This lens is pretty nuts in terms of weight. 1) Sony 24-50mm f/2.8 - 446g ($1098) 2) Sony 20-70mm f/4 - 488g ($1098) 3) Sony 24-70mm f/4 - 426g ($898 currently) Despite not having 70mm. It's just as light and most likely better optics than its f/4 counterparts. This for indoors for me is ideal. This lens is a no-brainer.

Crawling and standing on rocks must have been painful! Not sure why they made this lens, maybe a 1.8 would make sense but at 2.8 may as well use 24-70

@@lensman5762 even dirt isn’t cheap these days. Lens is around £1k. I’d rather used my ef glass and adapt it to the E mount on the new adapter that gives you eye autofocus.
