Nice vids ! How did you transform your room to a small studio ? I have a similar project in mind but it's kind of hard to know what to begin with... For now, I only have one flash and the a6000 with several lenses. Guess my next buy should be some ombrella or some softbox. I like the way you paint the room, that make a really nice background.

+sskkmm2222 I moved out all the furniture, painted the walls a neutral gray, set up a seamless background and that started it all. One thing I learned the hard way... buy a photographic gray card and take it to the paint store. Have them match your paint to that. Then you can use your wall color to white balance in Post Production! My gray paint has a bit of a color cast to it.....

You used rokinon 135mm f2 full frame lens with Sony A6000. If you would have put the problem to choose a lens with autofocus, what you have used in the same situation? Thanks!

Which lenses do you use for portraits on the a6000?
@BradZChef8 жыл бұрын
+The Dead Immortal For available light I used the 50mm f/1.8 Sony and the 85mm f/1.4 Rokinon. When I use flash I use the 18-105G f/4 Sony.

+BradZChef How's the bokeh on the 18-105mm? I've been considering this lens for a while now but since I'm really into portraiture I've also been looking into a portrait lens, but I've looked almost everywhere and barely anyone uses the 18-105mm for portraits. Do you post your pictures anywhere so I can check out said lens?
@BradZChef8 жыл бұрын
+The Dead Immortal If you're really close (head-shot), at 105, and wide open (f/4) bokeh is fine. When I use it in my studio with flash I'm using a wall or seamless for a background so bokeh isn't a consideration. I'm generally shooting f/7.1 - f/13. For shallow DOF I'll use the 50mm f/1.8 Sony Prime or the Rokinon 85mm f/1.4.

Where did you find posing guide?
@BradZChef8 жыл бұрын
+Rich A I did a Google search "Photography Posing Guide". It will give you hundreds to choose from. Check Pintrest as well. I can't remember the URL for these- I downloaded them so long ago.
