This and the companion video on exposure for the AX100 are by far the best AX100 tutorials I've found so far. Thank you.

Fantastic tutorial. I learnt more in that 17 minutes than I have in 2 years of using a range of Sony cameras with the same menu structure/settings etc. Thanks for sharing

Hi Alister, these tips and explanations are a delight. So clear, well-paced and easy to understand. I have just bought this wonderful little camera and was rather taken aback when I saw all the options, now I can enjoy them without fearing them! Thank you so much. Wonderful, professional and friendly.

Alister, Thanks you so much for posting this video. You showed me things I doubt I would have ever discovered. I just bought my AX100 about a month ago and am a little overwhelmed by all the control features it has. Please make some more tutorials. This was awesome, to say the least. Greatly appreciated.

Have to tell you, based upon what you showed me here, I'm returning my new ax33, and exchanging it for the ax100. I am disappointed by the video quality, and now see how the ax100 can be even better ie peaking, etc. thanks very much. Great tutorial, please do more!

Really made my day. Great tutorial. Done really well. Put a number of these to use today. Forcing the focus / exposure on on a preferred area of the viewfinder and being able to actually see what the camera is focusing on with peaking was great. Thank you I do have a question for you though. I am shooting podcast type videos. I create the focus using the mentioned tools but when I move away from the camera lens it looses focus and becomes blurred. Is there any way to have the focus follow the person ?

Oh, yes, just one question if it is possible. I edit with Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 and, whereas I can manage with the 4K footage by using settings of 1080 by 1920 in MPEG I wonder if I'm losing a lot of picture quality and, if so, what are the ideal settings for this camera using the Adobe Prem pro CS6? Can't update it to the CC version which I think you are using ideally for this camcorder

Your tutorials for this camcorder are amazing! You are also one of the few people who seem to mention that it has ND filters built in. What is your opinion on the AX100 now, in 2018?

Alister - Great review and feature highlights...quick question, one that may seem obvious but I'm have a bit of difficulty. I LOVE my AX-100 (your reviews helped me make my discussion to get this camera) - my question...I shoot a lot of indoor real estate, I mount my AX-100 on a "steady cam" - the picture is smooth enough, but I can never seem to get a really crisp focus...I have it in manual on infinity, doesn't seem to be clean...do you happen to have any tricks you don't mind sharing on how I can use this great camera to keep a clean clear image (with out using the automatic - it keeps hunting for images to focus on). Thanks for any advice you can offer.
