Is replacing rubber belts difficult or are the gears easily accessable? Have you experienced problems due to its age?

On this particular machine belts were all good and I didn't have to replace any , I just lubricated the carousel with plastic friendly PTFE grease and like you can see in the video the whole thing still worked fine.

This equipment can play the 200 CDs sequentially, one after the other, or is it only for storage?

Yes , you could program it to play all CD in a row or selected CDs .
