Only down side to these models was the ribbon strip that would wear out from opening and closing and eventually losing power and signal to the face plate. The first genereation had the better design.

Every head unit had unique code. There are around 6 or 7 different codes. Which one matches to your head - nobody knows. Search codes on the old forums. I have cassette version XR-M510. Found codes on some UK forum.
