Sony DHR 1000 - digital miniDV and VCR

I bought a Sony DSR 30 which I believe is the same thing as this off of eBay to convert all of my old mini DV tapes from back in the day to digital. What option should I use for video out S video? I don’t even know what the other one is

Who's still using dv cassettes? Some of you might have them.. this is one of the nicest sets to transfer so I was pretty stoked in the end.

I need help. Mine won't take the cassette. You just put your and it took it in right away mine just sits there. HELP

Is it PAL or NTSC?

NTSC, not sure if they made a PAL version.. i think a "C" as in DHR 1000C would signify it's a PAL capable unit. Not sure though. Did this such a long time ago when I jumped away from tapes. www.ebay.ie/sch/i.html?_sop=18&_nkw=sony+dhr+1000&_frs=1 That link is to a unit on ebay which I think does PAL as a representation that they likely exist still.

Have the PAL version, it's a 1000VC. The plastic door/flap clutch is cracked tho, so I have to close by hand. Just fixed the blown DC/DC converter on the PSU board.

They launched a PAL version in 1997. I used 1 from 1998 upto 2007. Type name: DHR-1000NP.
