Nice! Had two of these. The first got thrown to death after the GPU freaked out (man, the patienceless youth). The other was already dead but I reflashed and sold it. Third is on its way right now, just because the battery's needed for another phone. Arguably the prettiest phone of all time, really miss the days of variation.

well you need a 2g sim card which is hard to find but if you do have one most services are blocking 2g activations

@@NaeroK87 😥 I guess just keep your phone as memorabilia. (I plan on buying one for that very reason) It's weird how we want to revive this phone when iPhones today are 1,000,000xs better. That's the power of nostalgia. Remember how cool the iPhone was when it first came out? Nowadays, iPhones are kinda boring with no new features compelling me to buy a new one....like OF COURSE a phone can go on the internet, shoot HD Video, play music, movies and video games. Man what take for granted in the present.

@@franktruth9639 many people like me just use phones for calling and texting so they don’t need expensive smartphones and back then phone manufacturers actually cared about their costumers while nowadays they’re lazy and greedy by changing 1 camera and charging like $200 more for the phone.

I would love you for all time if you could give me step by step instructions on how to share a bluetooth video off one of these. I have an old one but the screen is dead, but it still powers on, I cant see the menu in order to navigate the required settings.

I could tell you how to activate the bluetooth but I don't know where your video would be in your phone. That depends on what else you have there, so if there are multiple videos, it may be further down a list so the keys you would have to press would be different. It would be much easier if you have a USB cable and a PC, as you can access the memory. Does the phone have a memory card inside?

@@Vintagephonesarchive Wow talk about a fast reply, my head is spinning. I sadly do not recall where the videos are saved on the phone. My old sim card is in the phone still, but I dont think that had enough storage to save a video

Ok, we can try at least. Turn on your phone. Hit the BACK key to cancel any initial setup, then Right softkey. Now you should be at the main screen. We need to activate the Bluetooth first. Hit the following keys: Middle key, #, Left arrow, Middle key, Middle key. Now your Bluetooth is turned on, but may not be visible. Try to find the phone from your smartphone. If you cant see it, on the Z520 close the flip,reopen and press the following: Middle key, #, Left arrow, Middle key, Down arrow, Middle key, UP arrow, Middle key. Try to find the phone now from your smartphone. If you can see it, pair it with the smartphone. If the smartphone asks for password, put 0000. You will hear a noise on the z520. Press Left softkey then type 0000 and press Middle key. You will hear another noise from the Z520. Press Left softkey twice. Now the phones are paired. Time to transfer some files. Close the flip and open again to be back to the main screen. Hit the following keys: Middle key, 7, 2, Middle key Now you are in the folder containing videos recorded with your camera. We will mark all files and transfer. Press the following: Right softkey, 4,2, Right softkey, Middle key, 3, Middle key. Now your files will be sent to your smartphone. Done. Please remember, when I say Right or Left SOFTKEY I mean the Left hand and Right hand keys below the screen, not the Left and Right arrow keys in the middle. Let me know how it went.

@@Vintagephonesarchive Thanks so much for this. I am not sure if it worked mostly due to the fact my phone is now not turning on, where as it had a few days ago. So I am waiting on a new cable for it, one that can also connect to the PC, hopefully that works. But if not, I have your amazing write up to follow! why not just use usb cable ? Z520i didn't have a memory card slot, it came first with Z530i.
