You forgot some things: - A lack of enough controls and buttons, you can use the camera of course, but would be better with a extra wheel on top and a extra customizable button - The quality of the screen is not ok, it works, but it could be better - The viewfinder is the worst EVF I have ever seen. At least it have viewfinder - The viewfinder have a rigid plastic weirdo eyecup - The camera is SLOW, maybe 3 fps and is slow to write to the SD But I love it. The sensor is very good. I freaking love the shutter sound. The camera used is VERY cheap. The grip is excellent, far better than the A6000. The battery life is better than any other Sony mirrorless with the same NP-FW50 When I need something smaller or faster i use my Nex5T or my A6000. When I can carry something bigger I shoot with the A3000 o A3500.

the lack of controls personally is not a problem for me, the camera is pretty easy to use and most of the functions are literal shortcuts on the D-Pad / wheel, so personally for me is more convenient than for example nikon and canon control layout, but totally agree with the EVF, isn't the worst viewfinder out there, but it's bad, tons of delay during night time, and the resolution is low

That's a perfect candidate for IR full spectrum conversion. I converted my NEX 3 but I suffered a lot with the ergonomics, yet the results even without a dedicated IR filter are amazing. The issue with your mic is that the contacts may be dirty, use some electric contact cleaner, I had the same issue with my sony A6000.

I felt this was a experiment to see if Mirrorless guts in a DSLR body would sell, and honestly I wish they did. There are times, I want that little bit of heft and lots of ergonomics in a body. Imagine an A6700 internals on a form factor similiar to this, and more control dials, touch screen side articulated screen, and all the feature and performance of a A6700, and battery grip that don't need a wire for the vertical trigger. This would be a semi professional camera in my opinion.

had the same problem with my a3500. slow autofocus and sometimes it autofcuses but then goes slightly out. Think it's a defect and there is a sony test image to try/calibration.

I've noticed that it tends to be buggy though sadly with it, not always showing it when u have focus assist on

As soon I learned about this camera a few weeks ago i had to buy it. Its just insanely good for the price (70€ with small manual lens for me) the handling is just so much better than those usual mirrorless cameras by sony its just so sad they gave up on that design!

ive got is as a first "system" camera and the only thing bothering me about it is the fixed screen and bad iso performance (which is to be expected)...other than that expect low rez screens and low shutter with the flash, other than that I cant complain given the price and age...If you are interested I've got some pictures taken by it on my Flickr taken with a kit lens and a manual tilt lens (without major editing...mostly shifted exposure and colors)

I would suggest you to get the Nex 3N instead, if you find it.
