Fix the flicker issue next time please, it's hard to pay attention to the test

I disagree that 960 is unusable, just need better lighting. The wrench falling was funny. If you look at any high speed film I'm sure you have the same effect of jittery motion, and loss of picture quality, etc. Your just seeing it change from higher quality to lower. It looks fine, just need higher light level.

Kevin Booth thanks for your input. The issue we had with the 960 FPS is the fact that Sony crops in on the sensor. Instead of sampling from the full 4k sensor as done for the 240 and 480 FPS, Sony crops in for 960 FPS. This means any noise due to ISO is multiplied and becomes much more visible. We do agree that more light could help (even though we already used an arri 1k, 650 and 2 350w), the point we were trying to make was that with similar shooting condition to that of the other 2 speeds, 960 FPS shows a lot more noise due to Sony’s decision to crop in on the sensor.

At the any of the high speed/slo-mo rates you used, how did you determine/adjust exposure? Histogram, etc....? We're this test ALL done writing to the on-board SD Card? Did you ever use an external recorder? Thanks.

All the slow mo was recorded internal to the SD card in the FS5 ii and no external recorder was used. As for adjusting exposure, we used the same setting for both the 240 and 480 FPS and increased the ISO by 1 stop for the 960 FPS.

I have a big question that no one can seem to answer.. Can fs5 mii record audio while recording slow motion 120p or 240p if it can't internally does it do it when recording externally? Any feedback is really appreciated!
