think I am going to sell my brandnew unused fx3 and get an Fx6 and at the same time upgrade my a6600 to a A74 for a b cam/photography upgrade seems like the perfect match

I think the NDs and shutter angle are the major draws to the FX6. It would have been the perfect cam if it had IBIS, I have used the 24-105 as it's got OSS. Have not used catalyst browse yet, but I reckon that could sort out any shaky footage. Might try it at a wedding as I would not have to worry about the changing lighting all day. Love the A74 but it can be a bit fiddly on events and not matter what people say, clients frown at the small size. Great video man ...

Thank you for your great comparison video. As I use both cameras as well, I can confirm all of your results. In my opinion both cameras complement one another perfectly, because they match very good and you can use the same master primes for both (the telephoto lenses on the FX6 with a tripod and the wideangle lenses on the A7IV with a gimbal). For video shootings I use the FX6 on a tripod as a master camera for sound and the A7IV on a Ronin-S or handheld because of its lighter weight and the better stabilsation. And with the A7IV you have a perfect hybrid camera for photoshooting aswell. Like you I couldn't say which camera I would prefer. Both of them have their advantages: The FX6 delivers the better sound, the better lowlight performance, the comfortable built in variable ND filter and the more professional look as the A7IV scores with its lightweight, a better image stabilisation and last but not least the photo possibilities. I need both of them!

@@KofiYeboah its really viewfinder situation between a7siii and fx3. I am viewfinder fan so a7siii for me. Also a7siii viewfinder resolution is literally what you see on screen so I love it, good for focusing

I’ve been back and forth about selling my Siii for an A7iv as my b cam to the fx6 but the overheating issues on the A7iv have me SHOOK. Have you used the cam outside for extended periods of and run into any issues?

Hi! I'm super curious. Wanting to buy an Fx6. I'm wondering if this what you get in the box when you order an Fx6? The store clerks are telling me that it only sells the camera body only and it doesnt come with the handle, the monitor etc. Mind you, that's a certified Sony partner store. I just want to know if, i was to order an Fx6, would i be also getting these accessories in the box? Thank you!

Yeah it's very odd when shooting both in S logs when shooting both in S log 3, I drop the the same Phantom lut on them And the A74 is far more yellow, I thought this might be a white balanced thing so I set them to the same white balance and it was exactly the same result, very frustrating @@KofiYeboah

@@KofiYeboah after a bunch of tweaking i can get them close, id say for me the biggest issue with matching is skintones. The fx6 seems to pick up alot more reds.
