I had all this gear way back in the 1980's. Took the camera and VCR all the way to Rhodes Greece to video my holiday ! Portable Ha Ha. It was so heavy.

i have the SLO-340 coming soon and I have a SL-2000 that works fabulously with a HVC-2200 camera. I need that SL-3000 next

I have the SL-2000 and the SL1. The SL-1 is basically the same machine but the SL-2000 is slightly smaller and has Beta 1 and 2 speeds. Both of mine have faults. I will make a video describing the faults and see if anyone can help. I actually have a working SL-3000 now. I built one good one out of three. Just sent the SLO-340. Basically the SL-3000 in a different colour and a JVC 10 pin camera socket instead of the Sony 12 pin K type connector. Interesting.

I had the same thing only my recorder/player was Zenith. Same controls and the camera was the Sony HVC 2200. There was a travel case that held everything. It was about 3.5 ft. long and ~ 2 ft. wide. There were some other options also. The camera extension cable 10 meters long additional light and extra batteries. After all of the gear on you, all of it weighed 40 lbs.

No, we don't all want to have a mobile phone! I wonder how many will be working or even serviceable in 40 years time. Richard, UK

It will be interesting to see. I recently parted with a valved radio from 1920 that still just about worked. But components then were large and more robust. I guess storage condition plays a large factor.

Why 25p, not 50p?

I would have to watch the video to know what you mean.
