The guy saying the behemoth framerate being bad, remember that share screen is going to display at half of the framerate you see in headset. I think the screens are sequenced iirc..

(Havent finished watching yet) I think Ben is mixing up Concord with Marathon, which is supposedly going to be an extraction shooter. Which is fair, since Concord, Marathon and Fair Games were all announced close to each other and all sounded very similar to me. I really hope PS puts resources into other single player or unique premise games instead of live service stuff, theres just no way all of these are going to be sustainable.

The only thing in the State of Play for me was Astro Bot. I was excited for Concord until I saw it was a Overwatch like game, then I lost all hype. Why can't we get story driven single player shooters anymore. I am loosing interest in games as a whole with each passing year as I see more and more and more live service trash replace the hobby that I once loved. Maybe gaming isn't for me any more

Think it's a tough market for them sadly. High expense, little returns. Guardians was a great single-player game in the same vein and didn't do well. Immortals of Aveum tried and did terribly. Return on investment just doesn't seem there for sub 20 hour singleplayer shooters.

@@cRub3r​​⁠ Agreed, but Concord won’t do well either based on everyone’s reaction, and that’s far more money wasted. I think Sony has a way bigger pull than 3rd party with some of their in-house ip. Killzone and Resistance returns could make for a great story FPS that would cost less and sell more.

@@JasonBetthauser sadly live service games have a much higher ceiling of return, and right now there is space for something to come and swoop in the space left by Overwatch's self sabotage. I don't think this will do it...but I understand. But yes, it definitely sucks

@@cRub3r Most live service games are being canceled right now after years of development and millions of dollars wasted, not to mention the ones that release and fail within a week. There are only a handful of successful live service games you can point to that take up almost the entirety of the live service pie. Everyone else is fighting for the scraps and failing. It’s not worth it.
