Went to BestBuy last night on Black Friday for the JBL Charge 3, saw this, tested it in store, and I have it at home now. It sounds cleaner and way better bass than the UE Boom 2, and beats the JBL Charge 3 by a bit.

Seyhan Nazifov me I lose volume when the battery goes down.. everytime it goes down to 90% the volume also on 90%. When it 50% battery the volume is on 75%.. and it not goes up again...

Yes you can, here is the text from the help guide which you can download from sony's website. The speaker can be operated by connecting it to an AC outlet via the AC adaptor (supplied) or built-in battery (rechargeable).

Arlatt Kwan the sony is definitely louder than the charge 2, and has way better bass than both.... as for volume over the megaboom, Sony is louder, but isn't noticeable in a loud room

personnally find it a bit too big. so after comparing the xb's in the store, i went for the xb20. the light functions on the xb30 just drain battery, so it will be useless in the long, altough it can be turned off. aywaays, good video tho. mais je prefere de loin le xb20. cheerios

Kahlil Alexis The XB30 is more portable. The Xtreame is a lot bigger which means that it will sound more powerful. Although the XB30 is more compact,has longer battery life and looks better. I would choose the XB30.

+Lightning Blitz at LOW volumes, the XB40 has better bass, but the Xtreme kills it with everything else. Xtreme sounds much clearer and keeps the bass all the way to maximum. XB40 severely reduces the bass at high volumes. I'm not saying the XB40 is bad, just the Xtreme is better.

jB Tejero I did check them out in Sony Centre. There is no Best Buy stores in U.K. I used my friends Charge 3 and my XB3 and compared it. In my opinion, the XB30 sounds a little fuller and clearer than the Charge 3. The XB30 is also a little louder and has more features and looks better... so..

I didn't realize how tinny and awful the sound output on the original Echo was until we replaced it with the Studio. It was a sonic upgrade far beyond what I was expecting. Just wow. I love it because it's like having speakers IN the shower. My friend likes it because the music is so loud that she can no longer hear me singing. So that's a win-win.
