My neighbor just picked up the bigger one xp700 it is very darn nice at all volume from quiet to loud. It has a dynamic sound. When quiet it still sounds very good all sound work great. My current cheap speaker needs turned up to hear all the different sounds and bass.

With the Sony app, you can tweak the frequency levels, add more mids and highs, to tone down the bass a bit. Once you dial in your preferred sound field, you'll be pleasantly surprised on just how good this speaker sounds.
