This might be the single greatest TV review which I have seen on KZbin. Other youtubers just cover 1 TV or 1 feature in many TV s so that they can make multiple videos about multiple TV s which eventually get the consumer confused. Just returned the a80k for the x95k and it’s mind blowingly good, perfect for gaming and hdr impact is absolutely bar none. Works amazingly with my ps5 and series x!

A80K is a mid-end OLED. I'd personally buy QN90B over X95K tho, for gaming Sony just lacks in several departments + skimps on chip, features and connectivity. Most 2022 Samsungs have 144 Hz support, 1440p, 4x HDMI 2.1 48 gbps, gaming OSD and every feature you can think of. QN90B also controls backlight better than X95K meaning less blooming and viewing angles are also better on the QN90/95. Sonys 2022 models are overpriced as hell actually. X95K is still a good tv but price is insane for what you get, just like the A95K. Sony just went balls deep on price this year, while delivering less than the competition in 9 out of 10 aspects. Sony even still uses WiFi5 on all models, which means no WPA3 support ever. Even their flagships are gimped, 2022 models have same features as 2020 models. Motion should not be terrible on an OLED, since it's much faster than LCD, especially VA. Sony might have fcked something up tho, because A80K is no wonder of a tv. You should have bought a A90J for the same money, better and brighter but same limitations as every other Sony TV becuase of dated hardware.

The X85K is my choice because I need something small and even though it’s not top of the line it’s going to be a huge leap from what’s currently occupying that room haha. i bought the Sony XR-94J…. ( not OLED) last year (2022) Great TV to watch. Picture may need tweaking slightly, to suit your taste. But overall… no problems with it. Personally, i prefer the motion flow set to on. The colour settings will need to be adjusted too. I’m using a optic fibre HDMI cable from, my pioneer amp, to the TV. Tuesday 25th April 2023. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Southampton England.

Summary: Don't buy the X72K X80K/X81K = LED TV, Uses X1 Processor, 50Hz X85K/X89K = LED TV, Uses X1 Processor, 100Hz (Faster refresh rate) X90K = LED TV, Uses XR Processor, Full Array (Cleaner brighter image than non-full array) x95K = LED TV, Uses XR Processor, Full Array Mini Led (Brighter, more vivid image than X90k) z9K = Same TV as the x95K but 8K. A75K = OLED TV (Better image quality than LED TVs, duh). A80K = Same TV as the A75K but better build quality. A90K = Same TV as the A75K/A80K but smaller and has smoother performance. A95K = QD-OLED TV (Just a more expensive OLED TV) A90J = OLED TV but older model. Get this if you want OLED.

Best thing about 2022-23 and buying a TV is that most people dump the model from the golden age of televisions (2009-2012) for close to nothing. These older TV's usually have the same quality LCD panel, with a more uniform and wide gamut CCFL backlight (usually rated for 60000 hours instead of 30000 for LED backlights) or benchmark quality plasma, tons of inputs like 4xHDMI, VGA, 2x RGB/Svideo scart and component, frame-accurate refresh rates of 24/25/30/50/60p without soap opera smoothing and most important, they are dumb. No ageing software, no privacy scandals. So go for you best 25-100€ ever spend and get a golden-age TV from someone following this video.

I'm contemplating between a 65 inch X85k and 55 inch X90k. That's where my budget is at. What would you recommend? TV will be located about 8.5 feet away. Room is fairly well lit during the day (plenty of windows) but pretty dark at night. Will also be getting a sound bar eventually.

I've had the x85k for a few weeks now and I love it. At first I kicked myself for not going for the 90k but after reading reviews, a lot of people prefer the 85k and say the 90k flickers and has lots of blooming issues with color.

The xk85 Sony 43 inch is the same price as an A2 LG oled 48 inch . It's far to expensive for a va panel. I think most people would prefer the oled TVs.

@@smarthomesounds Hey man just to let you know the only difference between the A80K and the A84K is the model name, last year for the A80J and A84J it was hands free voice control but that has since changed this year, its for minimum retail sale price as the 84 variant is a Curry's exclusive in the UK so if there was a sale on the 84 it wouldn't be able to be used in other retailers such as John Lewis
