Don't go for 8gb in one spot get 2 x 4gb done they will work on dual channel and it is good for your i3 .. more than 8gb processor will not able to utilise to full benefits. Rest Crucial ssd is good choice. Links are in description. Get from there thanks

Your laptop will run much much faster. Get any crucial wd ssd and ram from crucial samsung adata.. will do. For ram just make sure you buy the same spec as the existing one.

You can increase the ram...however not very easy... But if you are little into hardware you can do it... You can't add extra ssd but you can replace the hdd with sata ssd . Buy any sata ssd from the links below the video which you feel ok. Yours does not support m.2 ssd. So get simple 2.5 inch sata ssd... Yes huge difference will be there. You will have to fresh install the os or clone tha hdd to ssd

bhai if your USB port is not booting, you can take out the HDD or SSD and get the OS installed from someone on it and then insert it in your laptop. it will boot. Otheriwse get atleast one USB port to work so that you can installl yourself

I have made the following upgrades: -2GB --> 6GB RAM -Intel Core 2 duo T5550 --> T9500 Unfortunately, the bios is not detecting the new SSD Kingston A400 240GB. My bios version is r1101j9. Do you think I need to update the bios version? I have look around but haven't found any update software for this model. Do you know how to do it if neccessary? no its not like that, SATA SSD all are compatible as they use the same port. your SSD might be defective or you can plug unplug it again. Might be some settings in BIOS> if you have inserted the SSD in the same HDD slot then it should show.

the ssd is ok. i installed windows and linux with bootable usb but when booting from the ssd already installed in the laptop nothing happens since the bios never detected the ssd in the first place. when booting from usb the ssd shows up as available, but wont show up if used de as main drive

Look my friend ofcourse you can use the hdd ram of your old laptop but if mother board is the issue then no point spending moeny on it. Use the hdd and ram from this one or sell it.

Rahul 2 hi partition hote hain got and MBR.. to you check abhi kaunsa format hai and change. Mere khayal se MBR purane systems mein use hota tha got ab naye mein. To dekh lo it should solve the issue

@@light_sky dono partition select karke dekh liye ...GPT is not supported in it. In MBR it is showing boot not supported. BIOS me bhi kuch jada option nahi hain, only boot order change karne ka option hai. I am using the same USB pen drive for windows 10 installation which i did in HDD.

If it is running windows 10 original and you want to use the same you can close the OS from hdd to the newly installed ssd. You can install the ssd in the car drive slot using CD drive caddy and keep the hdd at its original place. Then clone

@@KulbhushanChand Answer 1 it depends on lot of things like processor .. if the processor is slow even if you equip it with 32GB ram or more it will not be able to utilze the full potential. I would suggest go with manufacturer recommendation. U can check the AMD/Intel website for RAM support on specific processor like how much and what DDR3 DDr2 DDr4. for windows later than 7 like 8 10 11 you need to have 8GB recommended because the OS itself uses 4GB ram. So other programs will struggle with RAM. Second Answer : 2 x 2 is less you willl have to remove both get 4 x 4 so they will run in dual rank configuration. answer 3 you need both the upgrades i suggest you to both same time .. it will save your time and also you will see clear performance increase . links of the items are gven below the video. for correct suggestion if you can share your model number and processor configuration it will be great
