I'd like to see the results.I've tried many of the different templates, customized to 4k, including as you have done here.That part is easy.The results for me are less than stellar quality(a little stuttery or pixelated).Show us how well the quality is with your settings

Most (all...) home use video cameras are UHD-1 definition of 4k, ie 3840x2160. Same 4k definition are used in the gaming industri. This opposed to the DCI definition (Cinema) of 4k that is 4096x2160. Why would you set 4K rendering to NEITHER of these standards? Makes no sense.

For some reason this is the resolution that Sony Vegas uses. Maybe some people with the black border try using the resolutions you specified above and are getting the black bars for this reason. If you go to your preview options you'll see that it says 3840x2304

Can I ask a question. I have a version of sony vegas pro 13 official licence. the upgrade is quite expensive now to pro 14 so can vegas pro 13 actually import 4k footage? from what I see I am guessing so and that the only difference is that vegas pro 14 just has the preset for 4k in it already? It would be great if you could clarify as I am feeling uneasy about switching over to Magix vegas pro.

I figured out! In "Pixel aspect ratio" you must switch "1,333 (HD 1080)" to "1,000 (Square)".

I recorded my video in 698x618 so I could capture what I want and not everything else but the video got squashed, do you have any idea how to fix it, I just need it at 1080p without fat black bars. It already set the resolution to 1080p but it's squished.

I try to render my gopro stuff to 4k and the footage comes out marred and laggy and skippy. I once solved this a long time ago, but now I cant remember how after 4 hours. the only thing I figured out how to do was switch render modes. while this works, it isnt customizable and the first 3 seconds of shots always jump. anyone figure out why it renders so choppily so i can go back to wmv renders?

Rendering in 2k and 4k isn't the problem that I'm having. The issue that I can't get 2k or 4k to render with 120fps. I get a low mem error, and it will not render at all. I have 16gb mem, nothing else running. In the Vages settings I have even changed the default 200m mem to up to 4gb, and still get the same error. The only way I can get 120fps is by rendering 1080, but then that defeats the reason I bought a 1440p 144hz gsync. If you can help a brother out I would be most grateful. ty

why not rendering sony vegas pro file for cinema screen 4k (4096x2304) format mp4/avc with 60p and with 5.1 surround system audio ! could u make a tutorial for vegas pls 4k +60p+5.1 surround adjusting !i am using vegas pro 13 ! but not possible in 13 s vegas p ! thanks !

PLEASE BE SURE YOU HAVE THE PROPER CODECS IN YOUR COMPUTER. I HAVE SUCCESSFULLY RECORDED AT 1080 AND RENDERED IT TO 4K JUST TO SEE IF I COULD. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE WAS I UPDATED MY CODECS

I really could use help from you or folks from your youtube channel. I have a Dmc-fz300 camera that shoots 4k mp4 files and I play them on a Roku 55 TCL 4k TV. They play great. The problem is when I edit the videos in Vegas Pro 13 I can't find the right rendering and they don"t play on the tv via sd card reader or hooking up the camera and playing it. The files that the camera shoots are: .mp4,3840 x 2160, Data rate 92336kbps,Total bit rate 92462 kbps,23 frames/second. I have tried your suggested way and many,many others. The videos play on windows 10 and I can upload them to Facebook, but not on my Roku 4k tv.

Great video and very helpful. Is there a way to make previewing 4K video (prior to rendering) look smoother in the preview screen. Mine is very choppy though it renders correctly. I've reduced the preview quality all the way down to "Draft" but saw no improvement on my laptop (Geforce 840M).

I will be following you now. just did this #31 the only thing I see that changed in addition to the quality was that I rendered it just to my computer and the video is slightly smaller in size on my screen. The raw file won't, but it will look alot more clear and crisp on KZbin in 4K on a 1080p monitor because it allows for a higher bitrate.
