Steps to fix your device.
1. Remove the ear pad
2. Remove the four screws that hold the speaker in place
3. Remove the main board
4. Disconnect the main wire
5. Take a photo of the wires then use tweezers to pull one wire out of the connector at a time and install them into the new connector.
6. Mount the new clip in a vice for easier transfer of wires
7. Repeat the process for each wire then compare with your photo to make sure they are all in the right spot.
8. Tug on each wire to make sure they are locked in place
9. Re assemble the headphones
10. Get back to jamming out 🎵

Hey! I opened my sony xm5 and some water on both sides. I opened it in the first place bcs my touchpad was tripping, and activated randomely all touch controls... No i have another problem, when i connect the headphone to my phone, i can use it for 30-60 seconds before it shutsdown and it makes a weird noise when it turns off. Do you know which part i need to replace? I think it detects some water and that is why it keeps shutting down.. Thanks in advance!
