great comparisons, especially the 11mm on full frame mode. Thanks!

You've completely flipped my perspective! I own the Sony 11mm 1.8 but have been hesitant to use it because I'm so accustomed to the quality of Sigma Art lenses. I wasn't sure if the image quality would drop noticeably, so I've been eyeing the Sony 14mm GM 1.8 and the 16-35mm 2.8 GM. But after watching this video, I'm totally torn. Thanks for the mind-bender! 😂

This dude has a huge arsenal of camera gear. 👍 great content! I bought a 15mm 1.4 to use with my ZV-E1, but I need to go dynamic active to avoid the vignetting. For this 11mm 1.8, it seems active is quite enough? That sounds really promising for some interior shots. Can you please confirm this?

Nice. I just bought the Viltrox lens 13mm 1.4. It’s nice although I wish it was full frame

Viltrox also has the 16mm full frame which seems great. I’ve seen reviews where even the 13mm as an APSC for video mode, similar to the 11mm, is fairly usable with just using the Active stabilization. Havn’t tested that myself but something you can try out? Viltrox has been putting out some great lenses so the 24mm 1.8 was released.

Will the 11 mm remain a 11 on aspc camera or will it look like 16?
@TechGearz_Levi Жыл бұрын
Any APSC camera will automatically crop in because of the physical size of the sensor so it will be about 16mm or 16.5mm really. Add in Active stabilization and you up to about 18mm which is still a plenty wide view but not what full frame offers.

thanks for the video 😉. I would like to know how the 11 mm behaves in astrophotography. If anyone has used it for night photos I would be happy to have some feedback.

Being in Chicago with so much light pollution and I really have never done Astro. I would say just from using my lenses and watching others do Astro, something like the Full frame 20mm G lens would be way better. It’s not just about having a wide lens for Astro but I believe the chroma control, edge to edge sharpness, and more make a bigger difference. Price wise, the 2nd market for the 20mm have come down quite a bit.
