you are entitled to your opinion, but what is it based on? The fact that no-one builds this outdated equipment anymore? How is that proof that no one could? Why would people have become somehow dumber since cassette players went away? I once saw a documentary from the 1930's with older people complaining about the youth in their time. Nothing changes, really. We did, and still do some pretty amazing stuff all the time.

You did a great repair job. But you missed one tint thing.... You didnt replace the capacitors 😐. These "green button" walkmans are known for having failing calacitors. These mechs were also quite flawed and ate tape, once that geae cracks...

Hello I have 3 of this Sony WM-701 , 1- WM-702, and 1- WM-707 but all of this ,I changed the belt , cleaned thoroughly the wheel pulleys, and they suffer from severe wow & flutter. I even changed the pinch rubber . I even adjusted the speed. what can you suggerst? My idea IS TO OPEN THE MOTOR AND OIL IT. What can you suggest , based on your experience.? Please. thanks

As others have suggested, clean the spindles and belt drive pulleys thoroughly, and also pay attention to replacing any electrolytic capacitors on the PCB as they control the motor power regulation.

I had Wm-190, 2091, EX-48 and much similar modells. Every capacitors in sets are dead. dont buy similar models!!!
