Hi sir, I removed the motherboard because I need to heat up the screen for removing it, and as a precise part of cellphone I don't wanna ruin it by heating. Because as I know, smart phone can survive in maximum temperature of 80 centi degree.

That's pretty interesting that the amount of heat you are using is enough to damage the motherboard. Doesn't take much heat to remove the screen on Xperia phones. Looks like a scare tactic to trick people into having you fix their phone by making the repair look more complex than it actually is.

Wit Rigs I've just replaced the screen on my Xperia x performance. The back light turns on but the screen does not light up. I remounted the old screen and the same problem occurs. I've double checked all connections but I can't get it to work.

I just have a question about what happen to my sony xperia f5122. I'm not an expert butI tried to open the rear part of my device to clean and to find what's going on to its charging port. After it, when I tried to reassemble and open my device there was no backlight already (but the display is still there) and the touch screen is not working. What it consing to me is that I would think the the glass is on top and the lcd/digitizer is below, but it kind of seem the other way around?

Is it possible to replace JUST the glass on the LCD, or do you have to replace the whole screen? Phone was dropped but there doesn't appear to be any damage to the LCD, no bleeds etc, just cracked glass. Is it possible?

It is possible but very difficult. The display is as delicate as the glass and they stick to each other very firmly. We need professional skill and machine to remove the glass. It is very likely for us (not very skillful and without machine) to damage the LCD during the operation. Our guide video shows the best solution and easiest way to repair broken screen.

I'm sorry I don't have plan on xperia C4 repair yet... for DIY repair I don't recommend you to replace just the screen glass, cause the touch and the screen glass are made by machine and it's a tough work to separate them n you may ruin the touch... so if you wanna repair it my suggestion is to replace the whole LCD screen. And is there any sony service center around you? you can bring your phone to them.

They are asking me 100$ for repair. Is this price reasonable for a 2 year old phone?

well it's a bit expensive, but there's something you should know, the screen spare parts sold in website would cost you $40-$90, and after you get the part you have to repair it and there's risk of damage some part inside. n also I don't recommend to repair a phone without any guide, if you wanna fix it the service center would be a better choice. wish this can be help

Yes it was helpful! I appreciate the fact that you can reply. If you say it is 40$ then this is expensive. But if you say 90$ and they charge me 100$, then I don't mind it since my warranty is still valid and I can use the phone. However there are some random Indian-Pakistani private mobile shops that can also do the job for like 40-50$ or less. but that would break my warranty.

Do you mean the glass or the display? It's possible to replace the glass but it's not easy

Glass, digitizer & LCD are all fused/glued together (in that order). 9 times outta 10 when you crack the glass on Xperia phones, the touch stops working. Much easier to replace entire display as one screen assembly and save yourself the headache/hassle of trying to separate the glass.

F8131 is the single SIM card version, F8132 is dual SIM version, but YES, you can use the F8132 screen on your F8131 device :)
