Sony Xperia XA1 Charging Port Repair Guide

Great stuff, I bought both a new battery and a charging port for under £17 in total, and by following this tutorial managed to change both parts, and now my Xperia XA1 is running on all cylinders again! I was initially reluctant to go through with it because of the apparent difficulty in getting the back of the phone off, but in practice I found this to be a lot easier than what this video suggests, with a little help from a hair dryer! The only tricky part was reconnecting the small connector on the new charging port, using both a pair of tweezers and my finger to eventually get it to click in the right place. I also found that there was no need to add any sticky strips to put the back of the phone back together as there was enough glue left, although I had double-sided tape at the ready just in case! Having successfully completed this repair, it will give me confidence to carry out more repairs in the future, which I believe is good for both saving money and for the environment.

Hi witrigs I want to ask if I use single pcb board but replacing it using dual connector pcb is there any problems.....i tested it so far no problem with it or is there any side effects

holy crap. i mean...ok....good info for nubes but even if a rank amateur u can see u dont have to remove the battery. just pop the speaker out and the 2 antennae connections and unplug the board connecting flex and pop out the charge board

You can try to remove it and then hold the power button for 15 or 30 seconds. Then you put the battery back in and if that doesen't work you need a new battery

probably killed the charge ic or battery using phone that has shorting port. very dangerous. it could cost more than a new battery now but u can try 1

@@bermyvlogger it’s all fixed now it turned out I got a third party different charging port end that’s different to the original and between copy and original they both have different charging port ends it all works and charges fine now my mate is happy

You try using another charger. If the problem still exists, I suggest you replace a new USB port.
