As someone who switched from Android to Apple with the iPhone 7 Plus I can tell you for many of us a headphone jack is important. It didn't take me long, 8.5 months to be exact, to jump back to Android and buy a S8+. Having to remember to pack a dongle in the car or out and about is absolutely horrible. I want to upgrade my phone but it's looking more and more like Samsung is my only option with this trend by the rest of Android to abandon the headphone jack. Oh well, guess I'll wait for Note 9 or S10. Bluetooth music quality sucks unless you spend hundreds of extra dollars on high quality wireless headphones.

XZ Premium has glossy back. All Z models had glossy back. Why is glossy back really killing sony's identity? Glossy back looks more premium in Sony case. That is why they started Premium class.

My old phone was stolen last so I had to get another one in a super budget way because I can't afford to lose communication. I bought this phone in FB market place for like 70-80 USD. It's my best bang for the buck in 10 years? At some point, its way better than my lost fone several times the price.

I bought one last year, due to the fact that the XZ3 was almost the same with minor improvements. Currently will update the phone after a factory reset and I know most say that it's crap, but at the forum some say that the update improve battery life and other stuff. Will see how it goes. I had the Huawei P30 Pro and Samsung Note 10+ after this phone, both were better in the battery department and more or less in the camera department, but I kept the phone since it's almost worthless if I try to sell it.

Getting this phone soon, im excited. Never used the headphone jack and always used a bluetooth device, feels good without cables everywere and the design, though a bit dissapointing i have the phone in a leather case anyway so it doesn't matter much.

This phone is very good, they finally improved their camera software, and everything else (apart from the jack) is a good as it was before. I prefer that one over the S9 (I'm not a fan of Samsung interface and some design choices), and it can clearly compete against the best.

New Sony design is horrible, I have always had Sony phones because I love the omnibalance design. But this new one doesn't look good and the removal of the headphone jack has done it for me. Time to find a new phone manufacturer :/

hey can you press the slow motion button more than 1 time during video recording? lets say I'm filming my niece dancing at her dance lesson and the video is 2 mins long..during that 2 mins of recording as I'm recording it can I slow multiple parts of the video down, lets say in that 2 mins footage I wanted 4 parts slowed down can you do this or does it only let you press the slow motion button the 1 time per video recording?

I only just got a NOS unused xperia XZ2 for 100 euros as not all the apps are supported on on my Z5 now. What a brilliant phone, the only pain was having to use sony's theme creator so i can use my snowy background and text being displayed black on the main screen. Using XZ2 now, i really feel that people dropping 1k+ on a phone are simply no sense with money😂😂

I have a Xperia Z5 and the finger print sensor at the side is way way better to activate the phone than having one at the back in my opinion it's the worse place for it. Samsung had the same issue with their S8 folks complaining the finger print sensor is to close to the camera so keep it at the side. Anyway it's much faster to active the phone that way. As for not having a flat surface each to their own again I fell a flat surface is better I'm the long run. A big plus thank God with Sony is ''stereo speakers 🔊 '' folks they still pride themselves for sound quality. And that's one of the reasons I went for a Sony Z5 rather than a Samsung Galaxy S6 or S7 sound quality...

I still don't get it why Sony relocated Fingerprint sensor to the back . Leave it at the side is the most convenient way to use it. - When your phone is on the table you can still unlock the phone unlike the back where you have to pick the phone up first - Our thumb will always position at the side but our index may touch the camera instead. Someone please answer me. I'm so frustrated.

just got mine. changed over from an iphone 6 and super happy. There is just one thing that people need to know. You cant create photo albums to categorize your photos into. You need to do it through google photos or a 3rd party app. fucking strange

they should've kept the same design of the xz premium at the back with a not so curved body and they also should've added OIS. If possible, please return the jack, Sony. This is an okay start for going with the trends to stay relevant. Sony, once again, please add OIS with a more unique design.

Just saw one at a local store. This phone is legit prettier irl than it is in B-roll footage. I don't think cameras do the back of the phone much justice. Pretty funny tho, how the two leaders in OLED in TVs aren't using OLED in their latest flagship devices. I mean didn't the OG Vita use OLED? And that was released 7 years ago?

Great video, man. Phone looks pretty good too, but shame about the 5MP selfie cam. What the hell, Sony?! 3200mA battery doesn't sound too bad considering Sony phones' legendary battery management. Will have to compare the camera quality against the Nokia 7+ to see which phone has the better trade-off. Good selfie cam or stereo speakers.

Got the XP Premium and love it, was my first Sony so far. Looking at the video it seems kind of a downgrade in terms of design, the front looks like a HTC and the back kinda like and old iPhone whatsoever, but have to see it for myself first I guess! ..Hardware/Software etc., no need to for me to change to this one, really happy with the premium

XZ2 pros: Reliable fast performance Excellent display Good battery Excellent Camera Excellent audio Good design(I prefer the old Sony design though) CONS: Why you remove the 3.5mm jack? WTH!!! $24.99?? for a USB Type-C 2-in-1 Cable EC270 to listen and charge at the same time, at the cost of reduced charging speed!!! Sony, those inconvenience could have been solved if you've just put a freaking headphone jack. :(
