looking at the comment section and all I see are Samsung and Apple fanboys desperately wishing and waiting for their favorite OEMs to also produce a flagship phone with 4K display cause knowing Sony did it first they think a phone with a 4K display is an overkill and either Samsung or Apple should did it first in order to call it "revolutionary".

+Keenan Spencer i'm using s6edge and the battery life is pathetic. I don't know how you are using your phone,but i have to charge 3x per day. Oh and i don't play any games,mainly phone calls,social media,browsing and chatting on my whatsapp. I now own z5 too. Let's be real,the battery can't even be compared. I'll say this though,s6edge has a better camera. In order to do a great photo,you need to tweak the settings on the z5,which i find it useless. It's a phone,if i want to capture something fast i will use it in auto mode,not manual.

i know that 806 ppi is insane but it is a luxury and a plesure to have and is certainly not an overkill and if 4K paired with AMOLED technology it would be absolutely fabulous

Yeah, I know production is expensive but more companies need to ditch shitty lcd screens and kill gimmicky quantum dots before it takes off, oled is obviously the future and investing in it now will pay dividends. I'm looking for a 4k oled tv and there are only around 4 on the market in the entire world lol. At least the price isn't too bad anymore,

Actually LCD IPS used in the Z5p (and Z5 and Z5c) looks great. Amoled is not that much better really in my eyes.

Wabouw Bouw​ I'll take a 1080p oled over a 4k lcd any day. Especially at this size you won't notice the extra resolution but you will notice the perfect contrast ratio and therefore the added detail in dark scenes. The difference is significant.

I think it's awesome. it's progress in technology! It's not for everyone but I think it's a nice showcase of screen technology and is also a pretty powerful device as well! Keep it coming

I will presume that nobody is following this comments box any longer. I have to say, great video, clear, concise, hits the questions they everybody needs to know, all except one very important point. This phone has fast charging 2.0 but you did not mention if the boxed charger was fast charger? P.S. I just ordered my Z5 Premium from eBay, can't wait for it to arrive. It's in perfect internal and external order. Once again, thanks for the video.

The lanyard loop's also there to hang accessories such as charms. I hope Sony keeps it since it differentiates your phone. As for 4K, I think it's overkill. 1080p is great for all phone sizes.

For Gods sake! They never said that their display is 4K. 4K only works for few multimedia things like for pictures, videos, gaming etc. Other then that its just a full HD screen. And 4K is a great feature since you don't need 4K TV's to watch your 4K content. Make a 4K video and watch it on the same device, what else you need 😊

+Usman Tariq Saf asked the question "What do you think of 4K on *a smartphone*?" not "What do you think of 4K on Sony's Xperia Z5 line?" Not all companies will integrate the resolution change like Sony did to conserve battery life and please both the media consumer and the everyday user. My opinion is still the same on 4k. I have a Note 4 and even that's overdoing it.

picked up my Z5 premium yesterday in chrome. thanks for the videos on this as it really helped in making a decision...fantastic phone! Issues with screen brightness to begin with but in the settings there is an adaptive brightness setting which if you turn off will allow full brightness. there is no headphones in the box which is a bit dissapointing for a flagship model but the phone itself is amazing...just waiting for a clear cover for the back as the chrome plating is a devil for fingerprints. shame there isn't more colours and a matte option like the standard z5.

What I don't like about it (and others like it), is the position of the rear camera. If you want to shoot a shot of something in Panorama mode with time not on your side, I tend to grip the phone with one of my fingers wrapped to the back corner right where the rear camera lens is. I font want to drop my phone, just take the shot with little time to do it in.

I could understand shooting 4K on a phone since so many people use their phones as their primary cameras and 4K televisions are much more prevalent now. But i'm just curious if it's actually possible to REALLY see a difference in that 5.5 inch display with a 4K resolution versus what's on, say, the Galaxy S6 with its super AMOLED display. So as we've pretty much already seen what the regular model of this phone can do, unless they changed anything else a display comparison between comparable phones is about the only thing I'd want to see.

the glass used on the rear of the phone is NOT gorilla glass, its simply tempered glass. one drop and you will get shattering, its a pretty big design flaw carried over from the z3

Saf, please consider a camera comparision, it's not the same as in the Z5 Xperia Z5 camera falls behind compared to other smartphone flagships , but surprisingly it turns out that Z5P's camera is kind of better. Watched several reviews and a lot of sample shots and I am surprised to say it is better than s6 for instance. Just do it :D

Filip Novakovic the photos are extremely beautiful when you watch them. use super vivid mode in display setting. i love my z5p very much ❤❤❤❤❤. if you like mirror then buy z5p chrome. i use transparent case because z5p is slippery when holding them.

4K is a plus point, but not necessarily the phone is great. Looks like Sony doesn't want to change the old styled brick type design. Their resistance to change may cause them lagging in catching up with its competitors.

Guys Z5 premium's screen is not 4K, it's still full HD. 4K is only for some multimedia features like for pictures, videos, gaming etc. But i think it is a great improvement, since now you don't need a 4K TV, you can make 4K videos on you Z5 and watch it on the same device, what else you need?
