When using the HDMI do you still have to use the sony webcam software? It doesn't seem to work on new mac os!

No you don't. What do you mean it's not working? Are you using a Camlink?

@@AdrianSalisbury I meant that the Sony Webcam Software isn't compatible with newer mac os updates. It's working great with camlink now! :)

Hi Adrian, thanks for sharing. I'm going to be using it as a product camera for my KZbin Product reviews. In this case, I definitely need higher resolution, minimum 1080p. Also, the camera seems way more zoomed in than if I was using my android phone. Does the lower resolution also limit the frame of the video? Or is there a way to change that? Even when I've zoomed all the way out with the camera's zoom wheel, it's still too zoomed in and doesn't capture enough of my desk. I cannot move it back any more or it'll fall off the desk. Thanks again!

I have a question that I hope you can answer! i have been using USB streaming, and after my camera starts to get hot, the camera starts to lag in my program OBS. So I was thinking about switching to HDMI streaming instead. Do you think that will fix my issue?

the real question you shoul be resolving 1080p 60fps or 1080p gives 30fps

Sorry for talking jargon. This video might help kzbin.info/www/bejne/f6WZh4esj5l0iKs The HDMI port in your computer is output only so you need a way to get the feed going in. The best solution is this Camlink www.elgato.com/us/en/p/cam-link-4k

Thanks for the video. I just bought the camera and I'm already disappointed. I read a lot of reviews, they all mentioned 4k and they mentioned USB streaming. No reviews that I read mentioned that the quality for USB was 720p and 4k was only viable via camlink 😢

Yes, that's why I wanted to demo this, it's definitely worth the Camlink. Keep an eye out on Amazon as they often have deals, especially around Black Friday 👍
