Is the Sony ZV-E1 Worth Upgrading After the Firmware Update?

I enjoy using my Canon cameras but the Sony ZV-E1 is something incredible...its dynamic range is insane.

At this point it's a lot less different from FX3 and A7siii, am I right? Like, with software updates and all, 3 of them are basically the same thing. They have the same sensor, same specs (4k 120fps), same dual native ISO, can shoot Prores raw via atomos ninja. Minus the cine EI and anamorphic desqueeze.

That's what I believe and the main reason why I got this camera. They stuffed it with a bunch of vlogger friendly features (which are pretty useless for me) but besides that I consider it a cinema camera for many reasons and I will try to use it for some of my short movies.

So did i get that right? They just added 4k @120fps with just an software update? I wish canon released that kind of updates 😅

Actually it's not in the software update...but they made available a license to download and instal to enable the 120fps in 4K....I don't think Canon would ever do that...at least not for free.

@@DanFrullani thank you! Yeah for what i use it high framerate 1080p suffices (R6 II) but nevertheless 4k 120 would be neat to have for occasions, especially if you plan to do professional video work. I mostly use my camera for stills.
