Nice video, resolut liked it. But… the A7s3 is not Sonys flagship video Camera. You could say that the A7S3 is the flagship hybrid maybe. But as it hasn't got the new update as the FX3 has. Maybe its the FX3 that is the flagship hybrid. It's complicated. The flagship video camera would be something like the Venice.

It’s WAY better than I expected. I had read that the ai chip improved it, but it’s like… perfect.. it’s nuts. Makes me want to cut a hole in the back of the case and put in a fan.

Just picked one up! So stoked to get out there and get filming. For me it's a Sony a6400 video replacement so I'm moving into image stabilized full frame 10-bit color. A lot of upgrades to my picture quality and usability that I can't wait to explore.

Stabilization is a game changer! Full frame is a game changer! 10-bit CAN be depending on what you’re doing.. Even just switching to that bigger battery makes life easier

It is also Great for Cold hands during winter for about 40 minutes

Ha, true.. It runs while charging so plug a backup battery in with a cord in your pocket and your hand Warner could last even longer. Surely it won’t overheat in the winter.

This was packet with great information I am very impressed. Subscribed ❤ For example i wonderd why the image looks so strange when the camera follows you digitaly and noone explained it. One point i think you missed is that the 4k looks not as good as on other cameras with higher megapixel sensors. At least thats what I saw in am other review. And thats a big deal i think if you buy a camera for vkdeo primarily and it looses against a hybrid camera like the iv. And a lower resolution also means the lenses you buy might be to good for the camera. I already see the camera on the used marked and noone buying them despite a big discount and almost brand new. In europe where i live for 1.950€ instead of 2.699€ that is more then 1/4 price reduction in the first month.

Wow, im surprised people are already selling them used! Maybe they bought them thinking it would sell out and they could sell them for profit.. The sensor is as clear as the a7siii, which I shoot most of my videos with, and is indistinguishable from the a7iv if you ask me. The lack of rolling shutter is a big selling point, the a7iv suffers from that pretty bad in comparison. But those two cameras are really meant for different things. Its a tough decision to make, in my opinion.. I have an a7siii AND an a7iv because I am greedy.. This cameras tracking features are SUPER cool, but I dont think it will replace my a7siii.

@@NicholasJamesJohnson The person selling it said he needed exactly 25fps for lip sync and it only offers 24fps thats why he is sell it. I am not sure if he is right because I thougt that has to do with the PAL/NTSC settings, US region has 25fps and europe 24fps. Maybe he can simply change the setting and get the 25fps he needs. But I am not sure. For me I am looking for a good camera that I can do booth videos and pictures with. I know the iv is better suited for that but I also need to look at the price, therefore I look at a whole bunch of used cameras and hope for a good deal. The e1 is so small that is realy nice and I think smaller images also have some adventages if I want to store and edit them, but 12.2 megapixel might be a little bit to few. On the used market iv and e1 are rouhly the same price of 1800-1900€ in germany. And if I want to go cheaper the next thing worth looking at is the e10 for 350-450€ which is an insane price difference. I tend more to the e10 more megapixel and with a good 1.4f lens comparable in the low light and look compartment. with a gimble also not bad as a video camera.

Great video James. And I just received my camera 2 days ago, did you find out if you shot log with embedded LUTs on it, and with “show LUT”, then yes LUT color is on the video when looking at the screen on camera. however when download to computer, it’s still only a plain log video file with no LUT burned in it. 😓😵 And when google with Sony Menu, that’s what it said “ [Embed LUT File] is locked to [Off] when using SD cards or SDHC cards.” Then ZV-E1 is only with 1 SD card slot, what does it mean? Anybody successfully have the log with embed LUT and still showing in Computer?

@@NicholasJamesJohnson I can see it. Half the price, great lens library at half the price of FF glass, all the same features with a few extra perks such as focus breathing comp and that neat focus map too. You lose a bit of low light and that's about it. Won't even overheat ☺️

Box and bag are made of great stuff that will end up in a landfill. This is nothing bit virtual signaling. Goal = sell great camera. I love the product but the nonsense of the box is just to ease a person's guilt. Get the camera, toss the box in the recycle container which will head to the landfill and feel good. Ignore this crap and enjoy photography. We produce more crap by buying prepackaged junk at the grocery store and fast food restaurants. I'm interested in just how good the camera is, and if it is worth the price. The problem comes when I look at the ZV- E1 and the FX-30 or ZV-E-10. Geez, all are both great.

Well, I mean, the materials are compostable as well.. So although I agree with you, it wont solve anything, it's not overall a BAD thing to have done. There is far less packaging than before and no plastic. That said, crazy good sensor and tech!
