This is a very delicately and masterfully crafted composition! And very difficult to gauge the beauty of this. It is very complex - it is based on multiple genres. It is based somewhat on Raag Yaman but improvised, It starts with a Keertan typle ringing bells, and then switches to a Kawwali (as its Zoya on screen who is practising dance), and then it switches to a typical high energy chorus of Dahi Handi type songs in crowds. And then it switches back to a flowing melody of Naino Ki Ghaat leja. The “tum tak” bell progressions constantly linger in the background, the taal changes seamlessly. And Irshaad Kamil just makes it a treat - the whole story in one song, outstanding is a lesser word to describe this.
