When AR Rahman has finished composing this song, KS Chitra was to sing this song. But unavoidably, she was overseas for over three months, and she thought that he would have recorded the song with someone else. When she returned to Chennai, she got a call from ARR, saying that the song was waiting for her. This was recorded by Chitra herself. This one song ties everyone in the movie together. How nithya and Aadi takes their bubbly youthful romance to the next level of something serious when they move-in convincing bhavani and ganapathy. This song brings completeness. That's it! Later in the movie when bhavani was getting diagnosed and the second charanam is played in the interlude "Pallam veezhndhen sigaram serthanai.." it's tough to bottle up the depth of making this. ARR and Mani Ratnam magic with Chitra Chechi's divine voice. Match made in heaven! This song is on the top of my all time Tamil favorites.

this is why rahman is best, does anyone even dare to make music like this in this generation. he has enough confidence to make this kinda music and make it as hit. using EDM musics and repeating the hit tunes doesnt prove you as music director. Single album starts from dance beat and ends with spiritual music , so much versatility. there can be someone who replace rahman after he is dead or before, but i dont think there can be another rahman. he is legend in his own way
