Sin embargo, “Su música y su alma son como un espejo roto”, metáfora de Johannes Theurer -coordinador de los World Music Charts Europe-, que refleja bien aquella sociedad fracturada. Muchos de los mejores músicos del país murieron o viven en exilio y preciados instrumentos de música fueron destrozados o caídos en desuso. Sàgar Malé lo resume bien. «Todo Afganistán ha sido la víctima de unos intereses geoestratégicos y la música es la imagen de cómo la política puede aniquilar la vida de las personas, puede aniquilar la justicia y la dignidad de un pueblo. Hopefully this great artists and arts are still alive in Taliban jihadi state. His sarod style was similar to India’s great Hafiz Ali Khan Saheb, his son another great Amzad Ali khan. In India, this instrument and music turned to more towards deep soul (classical format) with more depth n breadth. High regards to all these artists. Pranam.

I am just speechless listening to such rich and soulful music; it just takes the heart into a flight out of this world. Just a few pieces were used in old Hindi film music and I keep playing those small pieces for the last 35 years now.
