During the game, turn down the TV sound and turn on local radio. It was nice to hear Bob Barry again.

Landry Jones was the most under appreciated qb in OU history

I agree…he followed some great OU qb's nd just got lost in the shuffle. He put up some outrageous numbers...

Ross Wood Sam really was a good coach to Landry and it paid off. I am so disappointed that both of them have had horrible luck in the NFL. Sams a rich man but he keeps getting hurt and traded. I heard one know it all say Landry was not a franchise QB! Made me furious !

When he was on, he was arguably the best passer to ever suit up for OU. But when the nerves got to him he could really struggle. That lack of consistency is I think why many overlook his tenure at OU. Big, ungodly numbers and overall played exceptionally well, but he’s remembered for his failures more than his successes.

13:05... Prime example of why Landry isn't a Sooner household name. God bless the guy, but really dumb stuff would happen with him at exactly the wrong moment. 9 out of 10 times he was phenomenal. But 4th down and we need a big play... Landry would fumble or throw a pick or trip over his own two feet... I really feel bad for the guy.

Even though I'm a Texas fan, this was a good game. Also I enjoy watching these with the radio calls.

The last 3 meetings have been pretty good meetings ESPECIALLY last year Cardiac Sooners and the Cardiac Longhorns. They seem to play each other much harder when Texass is the underdog. At least I can appreciate your recognition of the Sooners. My ex is a horns fan and she was a straight up bitch every time we played each other. Texas can beat every team except Oklahoma and it will be good. Texas needs to be relevant again for the Big 12's sake.

I hope you weren't trying to shit on Bob's call, less than 2 minutes left he was questioning if they might pull an onside kick.

Still can’t believe how badly the Steelers mismanaged the development of Landry Jones. He could have been a good pro QB with a good coach and proper training but of course, Big Ben’s ego also got in the way.

OU has benefited from recruiting Texas HS boys away from UT with its HS level curriculum. Lots of athletes are attracted to the uncompetitive nature of OU and the realization that they will not have to apply themselves academically.

I knew the Barry's. Bob Sr. and Bobby Jr.... Two of the nicest men....I worked with the son, BBJ, for almost 2 years at a sports radio station in OKC (how i would end up meeting his dad, the guy calling this game).. Cant say how sweet an old man Bob Barry was.. We did a remote, radio remote one night in Norman that had him as the guest. He and a guy named Mike Trepps (used to do color on OUs radio broadcasts, was around OU football for decades) were the guests... After it was over, and the bar had cleared out, the 2 of them sat there and told us HOURS of awesome college football stories.. Old OU-Nebraska games they'd been a part of, eating burritos with Tom Osborne and Brent Musburger in lincoln... Recruiting stories of Barry Switzer... Though I was in my 20's, I sat there at the table listening like a 9 year old to story after story. No matter who you were, he would always take the time to come say hello, and share an OU football story, and talk as long as you wanted... The son was a lot that way. Total shame for Oklahoma sports, in general, that they're both gone... Anyway, sorry for the rant, just one of the sweetest dudes i have ever known.

It doesn't matter if you win by 1 point or fifty. Texas leads the series,61 to 46. We have also beat ou 8 in a row twice!!! I guess you conveniently forgot about that. I know y'all hate getting beat by your big brother but come on.

And yet OU has still accomplished way more than Texas has, All-time win percentage: OU: .725 Texas: .705 National Championships: OU: 7 Texas: 4 Bowl Game Wins: OU 29 Texas: 28 Heisman winners: OU: 6 Texas: 2 Big 12 Championships: OU: 11 Texas: 3 OU leads the golden hat series 25-20 and 12-6 since 2000 so enjoy your victories from the 20th century while OU continues to dominate you guys from here on out and accomplish way more.

You can always tell who’s scared of the present and the future by how hard they cling to the past. ( vs Errbody) * Longest Win Streak in NCAA - OU * Back 2 Back QB Heismans - OU ( VS. Texas ) * All-Time Games against all- OU * All-Time Winning PCT. - OU * National Champs - OU * Most Conference Titles - OU * Heismans - OU * Better Colors - OU * Better Women - OU * Most illiterate - Tex * Biggest Whiners - Tex * Most Jealous - Tex There is some “past” for ya And why you fail to measure Shorthorns. #BOOMERSOONER !
