All you can do is continue to go hard until it starts clicking...same as all the greats had to do....stay with it. I'm just getting better myself but it takes time.

As a DJ I've been doing the scratch mixing thing for about a year and man I like your style and yes, all those so-called pros that swear their shit don't stink, I am not a perfect scratcher myself. and yes, we all have our own method of scratching. But every little bit helps, and I like how you said to position the fingers. I mix old school style two tables and a mixer all though I do own the Roland dj808 and it is a great controller. Great video. DJ Calavera (AKN RP).

As a DJ who heavily uses the ns7 iii for all my gigs I highly recommend people to get the innofader pro2 and install on the ns7 iii if you're looking to scratch ... The stock fader imo bleeds to much

Drops and baby scratches for beginners. Two transforms forward and two back 4 notes scratch easy to do gets your timing pratice. 1 dice forwards and 1 dice backwards that's good for central. Have to start slow

Love the video great beginner explanation I have seen practice part 2 also. Question I have is I am left handed do I use the left hand for the fader or the wheel I am awkward with on that part
@DJLXSTARR
@DJLXSTARR 5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching my friend! To answer your question, you want to use your left hand on the fader because it will be more comfortable to move the fader at a quick pace and more comfortably but I would practice to use both left and right because if you're interested in being a turntablelist you want to learn with both hands especially when you're doing juggling from table to table! Follow me on Instagram @djlxstarr and DM me and I'll video chat with you to demonstrate!

Hi this is james from the UK my question is how much of a loop do I want my sound that I'm playing 4 or 8 beat loop presumably the sound is looped that wasn't explained in the video this would be very helpful thankyou
@DJLXSTARR
@DJLXSTARR 5 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply but I was out of the country with my family but to answer your question it could be either depending on what you're trying to do but for myself I prefer 4 the only time that I would use 8 is if the beat switches up after the first 4 using it as a break down! If you have any questions let me know and I'll make a video for it and give you a shout out....thanks for stopping by and thank you for your support bro!

Hey good content. Those were kinda stabs you started with. Not baby scratches. Babies don’t include cross fader.
@DJLXSTARR
@DJLXSTARR 6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment but as far as the baby scratch not including the fader is a matter of choice for I know real turntablelist who do use the fader for the simple fact you are eventually going to use the fader with it at some point and yes I did stabs as well when I sped up up with shorter strokes and I called it a quick scratch in the video and this video wasn't solely about the baby scratch but as I said I do what works for me because there isn't one set way to DJ or practice.
@kenhenry2319
@kenhenry2319 6 жыл бұрын
ToksikEntertainment I feel you. Once you do anything with the cross fader even if you making same motion on the platter it’s no longer a baby tho. Just want the newbies to learn the right material bro it’s all love.
